Juan Manuel is a partner in the firm and head of the Natural Resources and Environment practice. He has extensive experience advising companies on these matters.
He provides legal advice to companies and state entities on natural resources issues, as well as on the management of licenses, permits, authorizations, and approval of environmental management instruments for the development of investment projects in the mining, energy, hydrocarbons, transportation, industry, and agriculture sectors.
He also advises on legal audit processes in environmental and mining matters, implementation of environmental management systems, and analysis and compliance with environmental obligations in the planning, development, operation, and closure stages to prevent environmental contingencies.
With regard to administrative litigation, he has extensive and successful experience in representing clients in sanctioning proceedings before the OEFA, OSINERGMIN, ANA, and other regulatory agencies.
Before joining the firm, he worked as a senior associate in the Natural Resources and Environment Department at Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogado and as head of the Environmental Department at Lazo & de Romaña Abogados.
